Is there something I'm missing? Everyone seems to adore winter, and yet, I don't. It could have something to do with being cold. I can't stand being cold, and I always am in the winter.
Also snow. Completely beautiful and sparkly for a moment, but soon, gray and smushy. (Not a word but it should be.) It looses it's appeal. But I will admit, for a minute it time, it does have a certain...charm to it.
Now me, I prefer the ocean. Warm beaches, palm trees. Somewhere tropical. Green, green grass squishing beneath my feet. Soft, warm breezes are always appreciated. The winter just seems so dead and silent.
If you care to prove me wrong, I encourage you to try. But I warn you, it won't be easy. =P

yes, persuading sophie IS a hard task but i am willing to conquer it. okay here we go. (and if this sounds very...umm...professional or unemotionaly then sorry :D) so, yeah i see where your coming from. palm trees and sand and grass is all great, but how are you suppsed to apprectiate it...if you dont have to endure the cold weather first? it would probably lose its charm if you were warm and at the beach year long. following me? okay goodd. :D also...is there any better time to apprectiate God's beauty then when you wake up in the morning, fresh fallen show glittering from the just risen sun? maybe you feel like that on the beach (i do!) but this is another time. see? yeah. :)and plus...how much fun is snow? snowboarding, snowball fights, snowmen, sledding, etc (hey they all start with S. huh) i can tell you, it would be pretty boring if there was no cold weather. personally my favorite season is autumn. winter a close second. then spring...then summer. so yeah. what do you think NOW miss. stubborn sophie?? :D
Jaina, I have to say even though I don't know you I do agree. Snowball fights, I don't know what I'd do without em.
Christmas is in winter, would you like to have a summer Christmas? Christmas would lose it's charm if it was 80 Degrees outside.
(Thats probably like the only thing I can come up with, I'm too lazy... hehe)
Jaina you are full of points (not literally). it is easier to appreciate the warm weather if we've had cold. but i do wonder if i really feel that way, maybe i can be completely happy forever without it ever being cold, and still noticing God's wonderful world around me. =) Oh and i do enjoy snowball fights and sledding i suppose...snowmen..ehh, but i seriously could do with just one day of snow a year. but we'll see...
Oh yes and John, I'm planning on moving to South Carolina and coming back for Christmas. because i totally agree, a warm Christmas just isn't nice. =)
well to each his own sophie. well, her own i guess. oh yeah, thanks for bringing that up john (i dont know you either, but thats ok) christmas on the beach? how would that be. i personally...wouldnt like it. so sophie...have a new appreciation for winter now? ;]
hehe u guys r funny. :P I like watching u. WINTER ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF!!!!!!!!
I actually think it might be kind a girl/guy thing. mostly, girls like summer with the going out to the mall, swimming, etc. I mean, I don't know exactly what girls do all day bc I'm not one, but as I can see it girls' activities are more suited for the summer climate/routine. As for us guys, we go out and play football in the snow, build snowforts, kill each other with snowball fights, just fool around and bruise each other up. Girls normally don't do that lol. I'm not saying girls can't enjoy winter and guys can't enjoy summer, but generally girls' activities are more suited for summer.
Btw, nice profile pick! Starbucks rocks!
Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble, but I do like winter :)
R.W.
Eric, I didn't go the mall once this summer...haha just saying. I go more in the fall and winter. I know MY routine is definatly better suited for summer (though I could just be saying that because I think summer's better), but some of my friends might disagree with you. =) and Starbucks DOES ROCK!!! haha i should tell you my starbucks story. not really that interesting i guess unless you were there.
Jaina madear, the only reason i would appreciate winter would be because.....um...because God created winter for a reason!! ..that's all I got.
tell me tell me tell me tell me! Now I am curious about this starbucks story ^-^.
