I love the song "I'll Stand By You". If you hadn't noticed. =)
The first time I've heard it was on American Idol, on their special show, Idol Gives Back. Since then I have listened to it probably more then 30 times. Carrie Underwood sang it on the show, but orginally The Pretender's sang it. I have no idea who they are but they made a great song! The lyrics I think are just so beautiful and meaningful. They're on the side, and I insist you read them.
About my colors and new layout, I'm not sure if I like them but finally, at 11:40 PM, my parents are telling me to get off the computer. I think they forgot about me...

Pretty cool song, I enjoyed that preformance during last nights show. :) Is there a different version then the one Carrie underwood sang?
Yeah there is a different version. It's by the original artists, The Pretenders. I like Carrie's version better though because it's softer and has a slight country feel to it. Also Carrie's a better singer. =)
Sorry to comment so much but I have One more thing to ask... "You" is used a lot in this song, and in many other songs... Who is she/they addressing?

I think that she is singing to a friend or someone that she loves and cares for. When she sang it at Idol Gives Back, she was in Africa and singing to all the poor children there. So I think she's just singing to someone who's been hurt and needs to be loved.
What other songs are you thinking of?
Well, I guess I asked part of the question wrong. What I should of asked is, does "You" have a standard meaning in songs. What you said definitely seems like it would fit for this song, and probably the other songs too. unfortunately I hear these songs in stores so I have no clue what they're called. ._.
